Talking with Children About Cancer

When a parent or caregiver is diagnosed with cancer, children and teenagers are profoundly impacted. School psychologists are often the first to notice changes in student's behavior or mood. Being a source of comfort during this challenging time is vital to a child's emotional well-being. MSK Oncology Social Workers will provide school psychologists with the clinical tools they need to support students and their families when a loved one is diagnosed with cancer.
