Soaring To New Heights: High Expectations For All Students In The Mathmatics Classroom

This 4-hour mathematics conference will provide educators with opportunities to examine research that supports strengthening the instructional core in the mathematics classroom. Participants will explore strategies that foster meaningful interactions between teachers and students that are inclusive, engaging and convey high expectations. The integration of high expectations and rigorous instruction will provide a solid foundation for the mathematical achievement of all students.

Participants will:

  • Explore the next Generation Learning Standards to identify components of rigor.
  • ?Explore strategies that strengthen the instructional core in the mathematics classroom.
  • ?Engage in problem solving that is both rigorous and integrates the standards for Mathematical Practice.
