Many studies predict the correlation of young adults' use of social networking sites and addictive tendency toward the use of these sites from their personality characteristics and levels of self-esteem. Focus of this presentation will be on the effects of social media both positive and negative. Discussion will take place on the various forms of social media, characteristics of social media on young adolescents that could potentially lead to dependence/addictive qualities and ways to monitor healthy boundaries and impulsivity.
