During this conference, participants will learn strategies for creating a classroom environment which supports social-emotional growth. Learning will focus on identifying ways to integrate skills such as persistence, flexibility, cooperation, empathy and respect for the curriculum.
- Explore the latest research on the importance of nurturing social emotional growth in early childhood education.
- Make connections between the Next Generation New York State Early Learning Standards and social-emotional learning.
- Practice strategies which address the needs of the whole child using developmentally appropriate practices.
